Check Valves
Check Valve Cutaway

One Direction Oil Flow - GFP/Rodgers inline check valves permit the flow of oil in one direction, but prevent its return with virtually zero leakage.

Valves are coded with the suffix "100" to indicate line restriction of approximately 100 p.s.i. at rated flow capacity.  This source of pilot pressure can be used to operate other hydraulic devices.

Valves without the "100" suffix will pass rated flow with pressure drop less than 10 p.s.i.

Task-Force Valves - Pilot Operated 10,000 P.S.I. 10-65 G.P.M.

Hold Pressure - These valves act as a check valve to hold pressure in a cylinder.

Disposes of Oil Volume - When the low pressure pump is retracting the ram, part of the flow from the top of the cylinder is diverted directly back into the tank by the pilot operated check valve.

Decompression - Smooth decompression of full cylinder pressure is automatic with Model VPPS631052 when approximately 10% of cylinder pressure is applied at the pilot pressure ports.  The valve will then open fully when decompression is complete.

This prevents pressure shock caused by the sudden full opening of the check valve. Model VPPS531052 does not have the automatic decompression feature, so its pilot pressure must be at least 80% of the system pressure to open the check valve.  Separate means of decompression must be used before opening the check valve.

Maximum Pilot pressure is 1000 p.s.i. in port "D".

Task-Force Valves - Inline Pilot Operated

VPPS Series 10,000 P.S.I., 40 G.P.M

Check Valve, Inline Pilot Operated VPPS Series 10,000 P.S.I, 40 G.P.M

Inline Pilot-Operated Check Valve VPPS Series 10,000 P.S.I, 40 G.P.M.

Closed Ported Construction - Spring-closed poppet allows free flow in direction indicated, but reverse flow can be obtained by holding poppet open.  A smaller port in the cap of this valve provides a convenient inlet for auxiliary circuits, such as the high pressure connection for a high-low system.

Hold Pressure - The VPPS series valves act as a check valve to hold pressure in a cylinder.

Disposes Large Oil Volume Flow - Up to 40 G.P.M of Hydraulic Oil flow through these valves.

Decompression - GFP/Rodgers VPPS-631052 valves automatically decompress full cylinder pressure preventing high pressure shocks due to sudden full opening of the check valve.

Task-Force Valves - Pilot Operated (In Line Type)

10,000 P.S.I., - 25 G.P.M.

Check Valve, Pilot Operated (In Line Type) 10,000 P.S.I, 25 G.P.M.

Inline Pilot Operated Check Valve

Performance - These pilot operated check valves are spring closed poppet type construction.  Free flow can occur through the valve from inlet to outlet.

Maximum Pilot Pressure is 10,000 P.S.I. in port "D".

Not Less Than 5% of system pressure opens the GFP/Rodgers pilot operated check valve to free flow from inlet to outlet.  This spring-closed poppet type valve features internal decompression which releases pressure slowly.

The GFP/Rodgers Pilot Operated Check Valve is ideal for press applications when holding pressure is required.  For this purpose it can be combined with the GFP/Rodgers pressure sensitive 4-way control valve.
