Balanced Piston Relief Valve (Threaded Body Design)

Hydraulic System Protection - The GFP/Rodgers relief valve is designed to vent off hydraulic pressure at a pre-set level, protecting the system against overload damage.  Venting can be accomplished by connecting the vent port to reservoir as shown in the catalog.  This allows the pump to discharge fluid through the relief valve back to the reservoir at low pressure.

Remote Control - The relief valve can be remotely controlled by connecting a direct acting relief valve to the vent port "V".

Direct Acting Relief Valve

Remote Installation - The GFP/Rodgers direct acting relief valve duplicates the operation of the pilot valve in the cap of the pilot operated relief valve and the sequence valve.  It can be installed remotely from the valve it controls for convenience in adjusting pressure.  Its pressure inlet port is connected by tubing to port "V" on the cap of the valve to be controlled.  It can also be used alone as a direct acting relief valve.
