Task-Force Valves - Unloading ValvesFor Hi-Low Circuits
The GFP/Rodgers Unloading Valve directs hydraulic fluid from a pump into a
high-low hydraulic circuit* until an adjustable maximum pressure is reached.
At that point, the unloading valve automatically discharges the pump output to
the tank at very low pressure.
This Valve may also be vented by connecting suitable valving between the vent port (designated by "V" on the cap) and the oil reservoir. The Unloading Valve will also act as a relief valve in the circuit it controls. Relieve pressure is the same as the unloading pressure. * A high-low circuit consists of two pumps which feed into a common line. One pump delivers fluid at low pressure and high volume for rapid advance and the other delivers at high pressure and low volume for force. Since both pumps are seldom needed throughout the cycle, an unloading valve is used to allow the high volume pump output to return to the reservoir at a pre-determined low pressure.
